An assembly of smug, grinning Democrats stoo0d together behind a banner that proudly advertised their website: DEMOCRATS.SENATE.GOV/CHANGE
They have made no attempt to any longer play the heart-string of “bipartisanship.” This was nothing more than a victory for the one-party, strong-arm politics.
However, Senator Max Baucus of Montana stood with his Democrat colleagues before the cameras and microphones of the anxious media and, like so many politicians are able to do without remorse, fabricate a string of deceit and lies.
“Today is a victory. A victory for America … for American families … for small business owners. A victory for the economy … [choke] … for generations to come.”
I am crappin’ you negative, folks. He stood there and with a straight face made such a bold proclamation.
Of course, here was Democrats biggest lie / oxymoron this year …

Ironic that this press conference was mere weeks before the Democrats began embarking on the closed doors sessions about health care “reform” and worse.
When somebody denies (or proclaims) something too frequently and too loudly … it’s likely that the opposite is actually true.
But anyhow …
If passed into law, this health care bill will place a crushing burden on small business owners who will be forced to cough up more money for the federal government. This is the same federal government that is heaping upon our children and our chlidren’s children a burden of debt that defies comprehension. And they claim this as a VICTORY???
I found it rather fitting that Senator Baucus’ throat tightened on him and caused him to have a small, gasp-like hesitation as he proclaimed this a “victory for the economy … for generations to come.”
. . .
Obama, Reid and company strong-armed the so-called health care “reform” bill through Senate during the pre-dawn hours of this morning, securing that elusive 60th vote. A case in shameless partisan politics and the railroading of the U.S. Constitution.
It should be clear to all, except the fat, deluded, and agenda-driven Democrats that this move is clearly against the will of We, the People.
Please understand, the government has been so arrogant as to believe it is within their power to not only DEMAND that every American be insured, but that those who can afford to do so yet choose not to will not only be fined, but can be imprisoned if they refuse to pay said fine.
Are you kidding me?!?!?! The government is threatening us with imprisonment if we refuse to sign a PRIVATE contract against our will?
Obama promised the masses Chage, alright. And the change he and his Leftist friends on the Hill are attmpting to push upon us at break-neck speed is the single largest, most shameless expansion of government in the history of this nation. Our founding fathers fought and sacrificed everything to create a LIMITED government and labored over the Constitution to hopefully secure that for generations to come.
Please take a moment to read an argument put forward by James Madison (pretty much the “Father” of the U.S. Constitution) before the House of Representatives on February 7, 1792:
“I, sir, have always conceived — I believe those who proposed the Constitution conceived — it is still more fully known, and more material to observe, that those who ratified the Constitution conceived — that this is not an indefinite government, deriving its powers from the general terms prefixed to the specified powers — but a limited government, tied down to the specified powers, which explain and define the general terms.
“If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands;they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury;they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union;they may assume the provision of the poor;they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads;in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress…. Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America.”
Fast forward a couple hundred years … and look at what has happened!!!
Pay attention to the Change, sports fans … because it is NOT good.
We have a generation of corrupt career politicians who have grown disgustingly comfortable with all of the frills and bounty that comes from being a modern politician. By its very nature, luxury elicits the ingrained temptation towards decadence that is part of the very fabric of being human. It is, apart from the outright saintly, impossible to avoid.
We still have time to make our voices heard. Obama NEEDS to hear America rise as one as say, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”
We must put a STOP to this almost tsunami like flood of corrupt policy making and starting in 2010 we MUST begin voting out of office these corrupt career politicians … and I am talking about BOTH sides of the isle.
. . .
If you’re interested, here is an article that I thought was a very good summary of why the just-passed health care bill is unconstitutional.
